About Lum - the drawing exhibition

In his drawings, Ivan is trying to create precise light, sensible curves, rigid straight lines. All of them are articulated together to create as many spaces, movements, as plans and geometric compositions. Playing with lines, opening up perspectives, and producing graphic objects independent of their subject in order to achieve the abstraction of a form. He is searching for a texture that almost makes the spectator feel the material, the warmth.
The work on black paper is the creation of light - creation through light of an invisible world of shadows impossible to describe. Hypertrophied in the drawings, we forget hands, to see only that precise moment that the pose seems to freeze, the drawing of a sensation. The strength of these hands, their marks, those of a lived experience and of a will, their movements are no more than arabesques out of a tenebrous universe. Finally, it is not only the drawing that is being created in one's mind but also a new story that only one owns.
